Maybe she was also the one who greeted Him when He returned. Strange, isn’t it? It was always a man who was named a disciple but it was always a woman who understood the needs of the Master. Worship is birthed in a secret hamlet of the heart. It’s not “performed” for anyone other than God. It defies description and it denies all focus save Jesus.
Many sermons have been preached telling of the beautiful symbol of the broken alabaster box. Offered, broken and poured out, that’s what happens to a heart that worships.
